PRODUCT FACTS

PAST BOX PRODUCT FACTS:

Beeswax wrap: Plastic wrap is NOT recyclable. The average family goes through 24 rolls of plastic wrap each year.

Bottle Scrubber Brush: Bamboo is one of the most eco friendly resources in the world. Due to the skinny opening, most water bottles are difficult to clean. This bottle brush is perfect for those hard to reach places.

Candle: Paraffin candles produce harmful toxic pollutants and chemicals benzene and toluene when burned (both are known carcinogens). In fact, the toxins released from paraffin candles are the same as those found in diesel fuel fumes). Voluspa uses coconut oil, which burns up to 90% cleaner than its 100% soy wax counterparts.

Calendar: Happy New Year! Here is a calendar with eco guides and important environmental dates to keep in mind. After each month, you can cut off the guides and keep them! Made from Green Printer on recycled paper.

Charcoal Floss: It is made from bamboo fibers and activated charcoal. It is 100% biodegradable and breaks down in 60-90 days in your compost pile or bury it in your soil. Most dental floss is made plastic or nylon coated in wax and isn’t biodegradable.

Deodorant: Most common deodorants are made with toxic ingredients and the plastic packaging has to be separated in order to be properly recyclable.

Dish Sponge: Your generic sponge should be replaced every two weeks and microbiologists suggest it’s the dirtiest item in your home. Reusable sponges can be washed, which eliminates bacterial growth.

Dish Brush: Bamboo is one of the most renewable resources in the world and is the world's fastest growing plant. Made of natural tampico fiber bristles, bamboo, and metal, the dish brush is designed to last and the head can be easily swapped for a replacement when needed. Best of all, the replacement heads are compostable! You can buy the replacement brush heads on our website

Dropps: Over 30 billion loads of laundry are done in the US each year and roughly 700,000,000 plastic laundry jugs are dumped into landfills. Dropps’ plant-based products are npe-free, chlorine-free, phosphate- free, and animal cruelty-free. One pre-measured pack per wash load is all you need.

Dryer Balls: Ditch the dryer sheets! As single-use products, they produce needless amounts of waste and emit potentially harmful chemicals into the air. Made from 100% sustainable wool, these balls are reusable for roughly 1,000 loads, dries your clothes 40% faster, are fragrance free, and eliminates static

Epsom Salts:  Epsom salt is also known as magnesium sulfate. Epsom salt bathwater can soften rough, dry skin, exfoliate dead skin cells, promote sleep and stress reduction, exercise recovery, and reduce pain and swelling. Soak for at least 12 minutes for general detox.

Facial Rounds: If you use one cotton pad in the morning and one at night, you are using a total of 730 per year! Our reusable 100% organic cotton facial cleansing cloths are a far better option than their less eco-friendly counterparts. Great for removing makeup and overall cleansing. Washing Machine safe.

Jade Roller: Jade rollers do everything from sculpting, toning, and firming skin to boosting circulation, reducing puffiness, minimizing fine lines, detoxifying, and helping skincare products penetrate better.

Last Swab: Last swab is a sustainable and reusable silicone swab alternative to combat the billions of single use cotton swabs. 1.5 billion cotton swabs are produced every single day, the average American uses 415 cotton swabs every year.

Lip Balm: Our lip balm is in paper packaging, so it is compostable and is made with all natural ingredients. Just Burt’s Bees alone (which is a great alternative but uses plastic tubes) sells 86,400 lip balms a day. Almost 31.5 million balms every year!

Lotion Bar: Love + Leche lotion bars are made from Pure beeswax, coconut oil, almond oil infused with Certified Organic calendula flowers, essential oils. They come in a tin box, so it’s another way to eliminate plastic! Water typically makes up about 70-80% of a lotion recipe. Lotion Bars are less greasy than liquid lotions and do not take as long to absorb into your skin. They are completely natural with no preservatives. With the addition of beeswax and solid body butters they last a good long time.

Palo Santo sticks: Traditionally, Palo Santo is said to cleanse negative energy and bring in the good. So bring in all of the 2020 positive vibes! Take one stick and light it with a candle, match or lighter. Allow the Palo Santo stick to burn for 30 seconds to a minute, then carefully blow it out.

Produce Bags: Remembering to bring your produce bags are just as important as your main tote bags. Currently, 100 billion plastic bags pass through the hands in the US every year- almost one bag per person each day.

Razor: The EPA estimates that 2 billion razors are thrown away each year and you can't recycle disposable razors in the U.S.

Rice Pack:  The rice and the herbs release a moist heat that helps to aide circulation and pain relief to sore muscles. Simply throw it in the freezer or microwave for 1-2 minutes and enjoy!

Sage: burning sage is an ancient ritual practiced by several cultures. The most-used types of sage have antimicrobial properties, keeping infectious bacteria, viruses, and fungi at bay.

Scrubber Brush: This is the cute little sibling of our other amazing dish brush. Made from bamboo and Tampico Fibres, it is great for scrubbing those tough pots and pans. Tip: Leave the brush on top of the soap block, when ready to use, wet the brush and rub it on top of the soap. It picks up the perfect amount of soap needed!

Sea Sponge: Eco-Friendly & Natural. The Sea Sponge is a renewable natural resource. Natural sea sponges actually have enzymes in them that inhibit the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria. They have been known to last as long as 8 years!  Synthetic sponges will only last a very short time before they start falling apart and getting covered with mildew and bacteria.

Silicone bags: Silicone is inert, non-toxic, safe for food, resists microbes, is easy to clean and stands up to hot and cold temperatures. Americans use 100 Billion plastic bags per year with only 1% of which are recycled. The rest? They end up in landfills where it takes over 500 years for each of those bags to break down.

Soap block By No Tox Life: Our Small block will replace 3 bottles of plastic bottled dish soap and our Large block will replace about 9 bottles. A million plastic bottles are produced every minute, a majority of which aren’t recycled. No Tox Life uses all vegan ingredients and is made without palm oil. Use it with the scrubber brush we gave you!

Stainless Steel Lunch Box: In just the U.S. alone, each student is in school 180 days a year. If they each bring reusable lunchboxes to school, they are saving 180 disposable containers a year. You can put in the oven, stovetop, and freezer! It is 100% recyclable, as it is not coated with any toxic material it does not produce toxic run-off. ... Its impact on the environment is minimal when compared to other materials and its life impact reduces significantly as it used and recycled.

Straws: Glass, Metal Straws, Silicone:  In the U.S. alone, roughly 500 million straws are used every day. If 25,000 people stop using straws, we would eliminate 5 million straws

Tea Strainer: Most tea bags are made from nylon or plastic materials. Steeping one plastic tea bag in boiling water releases roughly 14.7 billion micro-sized plastic bits into a single cup! Worldwide there are 25,000 cups of tea consumed every second—about 2.16 billion cups per day.

Tongue Scraper: Tongue scrapping eliminates bad breath, prevents cavities, improves internal organ function, and aids digestion. Adding this practice to your daily oral care regimen isa simple way to improve your sense of taste, monitor your internal health, and remove plaque.

Toothbrushes: In the U.S., over a billion toothbrushes are discarded into landfills every year. That’s enough to circle the earth 4 times! Because they are made from various combinations of non-biodegradable materials, they take over 400 years to decompose. Each of us will use roughly 300 toothbrushes in our lifetime.

Toothpaste: 400 million tubes of toothpaste are discarded every year in the U.S. alone

Totes and Mesh produce bags: Worldwide, one trillion single-use plastic bags are used each year, with nearly 2 million bad being used each minute
